Curawaka, Mose & Nils Noa to perform live at Pikes on September 7th!

Curawaka to perform live at Pikes on September 7th joining Cosmic Pineapple for a Nixi Music label special.

With a sound described as sacred world music, Curawaka is a musical contribution to the great shift we are living through in these times.

Curawaka’s debut album ‘Call Of The Wild’, released in 2018, became a message to global underground earth warriors. With songs spanning seven languages, including Hatcha Kuin, Yawanawa, Sami, Spanish, Portuguese, English and lead singer Anna's mother tongue, Norwegian, the music celebrates and echos the voices of the peoples of the natural world, their connection to spirit and their sacred practices.“Curawaka (meaning ‘water heals’ or 'heal the waters') is a commitment to do our part on this mysterious life journey - do the best we can to create a better world. We believe in the potential of each human beings to sprout his or her sacred purpose and grow strong and wild and free. We believe in the intelligence and powers of nature, and the coming of a new dawn. A sunrise in the story of humanity, and a time of blossoming for the Earth and all her children. This is our prayer, the sacred world rising, and we sharing the hope that we will overcome the storm that is upon us, and unite again as one sacred family.

We share chants and tunes from all over the world, songs that are crafted from our own heart as well as songs that somehow ended up in our hearts. Our music is an ode to the wild spirit, a tribute to Mother Earth and a loveletter to life itself. We are deeply inspired by native traditions and have been blessed to learn with and from various indigenous peoples around the world. In fact, each member of Curawaka has spent extensive time living and studying with different tribes of in different parts of the world. We are in constant tribute to all indigenous peoples everywhere for their ancestral cultures, their traditions and knowledge, and their eternal mission to protect the sacred balance of life.

In 2021 we have been recording our second album, «Dreamtime», which is still currently in the making, and which we hope to release by the end of 2021. We aim to release the first single «Shamboriri» by the end of the summer.”Mose (who remixed Curawaka’s Te Nande earlier this year) will also play LIVE around the infamous Pikes Poolside.

Mose will be part of the Sacred Movement retreat in Ibiza from 11 - 18 September. Mose is usually based in Guatemala, on the beautiful volcanic lake of Atitlán, where cacao ceremonies, kirtan, and ecstatic dance have had a major influence on his productions and DJ style.

Beyond the multicultural rhythms and the steady hypnotic beat, Mose weaves ephemeral chanting of sacred songs and calls to love, kindness and compassion, often bringing in live musicians to create something beautiful and timeless. There is a universal element to his organic sound that appeals to a wide range of audiences, from the relaxed chill out space to the dance floor.

Nixi Music, founded by Nils Olav Lausund and Txai Fernando, is a production and label home for artists such as Curawaka, Ayla Schafer, Chandra Lacombe, Adrian Freedman and more. The label’s intention is to support medicine artists and their musical dedication to sharing music from the heart and with purpose for healing. Label head Nils will also DJ the Pikes poolside.

Curawaka, Mose and Nixi Music are collaborating this year in a fundraising campaign called «Water is Life», in which they intend to bring clean drinking water to the village Mutum of the Yawanawa people of the Brazilian Amazon. Holding the prayer of clean water central, Curawaka and Mose will do their first live musical collaboration in honour of the Yawanawa people and in order to support the «Water is Life» project. You can support here and also donate on the day of the event.

Also in play, will be Cosmic Pineapple resident Cici, BayBJane will be weaving around and more secret DJ guests. As well as yoga, meditation, new moon inspired sacred healing workshops in the Cosmic Activation Dome, the healing garden, the Once Upon A Time creative market and much more.
